RM50,000 for UTAR Hospital

IN LINE with its aim to give back to society and promote healthy living in the community, NCT Alliance Bhd donated RM50,000 to UTAR Education Foundation to benefit UTAR Hospital in Kampar, Perak.

NCT Alliance group executive director Datuk Yap Fook Choy presented a mock cheque to UTAR president and chief executive officer Professor Datuk Dr Ewe Hong Tat.

The event was witnessed by guest of honour MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The contribution, which was part of NCT Alliance’s corporate social responsibility initiative, is aimed at facilitating the upgrade of the hospital’s facilities and equipment as part of efforts to continue providing Malaysians with quality and affordable medical and health services.

Yap said that as a responsible property developer, the group intended to play its part in elevating Malaysians’ quality of life by ensuring access to quality healthcare services.

“The Covid-19 pandemic was a wake-up call, reminding us of the importance of maintaining good health and well-being, and we hope our contribution will support UTAR Hospital in its aspirations to provide excellent care to the community,” he said.

Prof Ewe said UTAR Hospital was part of UTAR’s development and progress as a private institution for the people.

“We thank NCT Alliance Bhd for this kind generosity towards UTAR Hospital.

“This contribution will benefit the people who require quality and affordable medical and health services in western, traditional and complementary medicines as well as train and educate medical students and carry out research to advance healthcare and medicine,” added Prof Ewe.
